Kevin is survived by his wife Mimi his four children and their spouses, Katie and Paul Melanson, Meghan Renahan, Michael and Adrianna Renahan and Drew Renahan his three grandchildren, Holden, Anna and Noah Melanson his four siblings and their spouses William Renahan, Michael and Rosemary Renahan, Thomas and Cindy (Dietzel) Renahan, Tisha and David Vanbenschoten, and many nieces and nephews He was always his best self when he was on the sidelines of one of his grandchildren’s games, swimming in the ocean, or playing monster with them. Being a grandfather was an incredibly important part of Kevin’s life. When there was an opportunity to take vacation – it was spent in Hilton Head Island with the O’Brien Family, the Outer Banks with the Durham Ridge crew, Marblehead, Massachusetts or in Coastal Maine with his wife Mimi. He was known as a mentor to many and always had words of encouragement and a funny anecdote for his players and their families. He spent over 20 years coaching at the youth, middle school, high-school, and club team level. Besides being with his family, lacrosse was the thing that brought him the most joy. Kevin started coaching lacrosse when his sons were young and continued to coach long after they stopped playing. They will miss his laughter, storytelling and Friday night playlists. Kevin’s four children brought him enormous pride. He had an incredible sense of humor, and an amazing ability to bring people together through laughter. Kevin made close friends wherever he was and maintained those friendships throughout his entire life. Kevin and Mimi lived in Abingdon Maryland, Raleigh North Carolina and ultimately ended up moving to and raising their family in Doylestown Pennsylvania. In retirement he continued his love of education and became a beloved substitute teacher at Tohickon Middle School. Kevin was a lifelong learner and during his career and received several advanced degrees through Penn State University, Jefferson University and had started a PhD program at the University of Delaware. After leaving J&J in 2009, he continued his passion for pharmacology and worked and consulted for several other pharmaceutical companies. Kevin graduated from Seton Hall University with a degree in History, and then went on to work at Johnson and Johnson for over 25 years. When he wasn’t forcing German Hour on his sister Tisha, he could be found on the baseball field, riding in his powder blue Volkswagen Bug, or listening to his favorite records with his best friend Jim O’Brien. Each have fond memories of the many vacations at their grandfather’s house in Vermont and waiting for the mariachi band at his hometown, Florham Park Fourth of July parade. Kevin was one of five children, and will be missed by his siblings: William, Michael, Thomas, and Tisha. He was a proud Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Coach and Teacher.īorn on October 10, 1956, in Florham Park, New Jersery he was the son of the late Kathryn and Raymond Renahan. He was the devoted husband of 38 years to Mimi Renahan. Kevin Renahan, 66, of Doylestown Pennsylvania passed away on Novemafter a short and courageous fight with pancreatic cancer.
